Breaking news: Terzic to North London? Spurs Plotting SHOCK Managerial Coup Amid Postecoglou Uncertainty.

Tottenham Hotspur’s poor Premier League performance continued on Wednesday night when they lost to rivals Arsenal 2-1 at the Emirates Stadium in the North London derby.

Despite taking the lead, Spurs were unable to hold off their opponents, as the Gunners scored two goals in four minutes late in the first half. After the match, Emmanuel Petit, a former midfielder for Chelsea and Arsenal, suggested that manager Ange Postecoglou be fired.

“I think things are probably coming to the end for him,” he stated on talkSPORT. Something needs to change, in my opinion. We can see the league and the players’ faces on the field tonight, and they all look so depressed that nobody looks like themselves. As I previously stated, I believe he will be fired because something needs to change at Spurs.

Spurs have only gained eight of a possible thirty points in their last ten league games. Six of their games have ended in defeat, with two draws and two victories. Despite their ongoing injury struggles, they do lead Liverpool 1-0 in the Carabao Cup semi-final.

Spurs stance on sacking Postecoglou

Football London claims that Postecoglou still has the support of the club’s leadership as he works to improve the team’s performance. “Understand Ange Postecoglou retains full backing within Spurs with an understanding of the situation he’s dealing with right now,” reported Alasdair Gold on X. He needs assistance on the field as well, but the club is reportedly making an effort to surround him with the proper people and structures.”

Spurs currently have a number of injury problems. With newcomer Antonin Kinsky, who joined from Slavia Prague earlier this month, thrust right into the starting lineup, first-choice goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario is currently out. Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven, Postecoglou’s preferred center-back duo, have been sidelined by injuries for significant portions of the season.

All three of the defenders are expected to return in late January, but the seasoned Ben Davies is also out. Richarlison made his comeback against Arsenal on Wednesday, but Destiny Udogie, Rodrigo Bentancur, Wilson Odobert, and Timo Werner are also out.

Edin Terzic ‘appreciated’ by Tottenham

According to TEAMtalk, Spurs “appreciate” former Borussia Dortmund manager Edin Terzic despite the pressure on Postecoglou. If there are no indications that Postecoglou can make things better, they may target him. Last season, Terzic led Dortmund to the Champions League final, but Real Madrid defeated them 2-0 at Wembley in the championship match. Then he walked out of the club.

“After nine years at BVB, including six on the coaching staff and two and a half as head coach, I feel that the club’s new era should begin with a new man on the touchline,” he disclosed at the time. “I asked for a meeting with the club’s senior management team after the game at Wembley.” Everyone who knows me is aware that I have struggled greatly over the past few weeks to make this decision, but despite lengthy deliberations, my core feelings have not altered”.

During his first stint as manager of the Bundesliga team, which lasted from December 2020 to June 2021, he won 20 of his 32 games, drew four, and lost eight. He managed 124 games during his second stint, which ran from May 2022 to June 2024, with 83 victories, 20 draws, and 21 defeats.
