Lakers Rumor: Lakers’ SECRET Trade Deadline Plan REVEALED

One week remains before the season’s trade deadline for the Los Angeles Lakers to make any significant additions. Dorian Finney-Smith, the team’s veteran wing, has already been a huge asset.

Before Los Angeles can be genuinely regarded as a league title contender, they still need to add a few more pieces. Before the trade deadline passes, star big man Anthony Davis has made it clear what he wants to see the front office do.

In order to play with him, Davis wants the team to add another center. However, it appears that the Los Angeles players in the locker room also want the team to make another addition.

The Los Angeles Times’ Dan Woike claims that the Lakers are looking to add another playmaker to their roster.

“According to players inside the locker room discouraged from publicly discussing trade targets, there’s a desire for more playmaking, a need that’s become clear since the team traded D’Angelo Russell.”

Since trading away guard D’Angelo Russell for Finney-Smith, the team has struggled to generate offense. Guard Austin Reaves has taken over that role, but he has limited capabilities. The Lakers require another quality guard on their roster.

Los Angeles has been linked to a variety of players as the trade deadline approaches, and it remains to be seen who, if any, they will add. The team has come close to trading for several players over the years, but it rarely makes a significant deal.

Players such as Malcolm Brogdon of the Washington Wizards and Lonzo Ball of the Chicago Bulls have been linked to the Lakers. However, the front office may find the price too high to make a deal.

The Lakers may have a much better chance of winning this season if they can add a guard and a center. The front office will have to make things happen at the trade deadline, but this team isn’t far from competing for another championship.
