Alexander Isak is still a sought-after player, but after his new transfer fee was made public, it seems doubtful that the Newcastle star will be joining Arsenal. With 12 goals and three assists in his last ten games (WhoScored), the Swedish attacker is currently in excellent goal-scoring form. Because of this, Eddie Howe’s team has risen in the Premier League standings, and the Magpies are currently in a solid fourth place, five points behind second-place Arsenal.
Arsenal is unlikely to acquire Alexander Isak.
Although Barcelona wants Isak, they will undoubtedly be unable to even meet to discuss a deal due to their own financial difficulties.
Arsenal was rumored to make a summer move for Isak, but Sky Sports’ Pete Graves stated on the Transfer Talk podcast that this is unlikely to happen right now. That’s because Graves stated: “If they want to get (Newcastle) around the table, there’s no chance (Isak) will join Arsenal, £200m to start.”
Has the Newcastle attacker’s personal terms been agreed?
Given that it was first thought that Isak might be available for between £100 million and £150 million, Arsenal—and most likely any other club—would never be able to pay anything close to the record price that Barcelona paid for Neymar.
According to rumors, Newcastle is requesting £200 million for Alexander Isak.
Since Graves is reportedly well-connected at Newcastle, the team he supports, his statements can be taken at face value.
Naturally, that means that all of the speculation regarding the player’s future can be dispelled, and he can continue to do what he does best, which is to put the ball in the net. It appears that the Magpies may have just received the boost they needed for the second half of the 2024–2025 season.
